Real Cultural Weddings that Embrace Your Heritage and Flow like a Professionally Planned Event

Not every wedding involves a white dress, right?
And let’s be honest—not every wedding planner understands how different a cultural wedding can be from a typical American wedding, especially when you’re not a typical American bride.

In the midst of trying to incorporate your own culture, you also have your own style and love story that you want to highlight as well.

Hi, I’m Ronny Chuks — Owner of Utterly Elegant Weddings and Events and Certified Wedding Planner and Event Designer. I help couples who are connected to their roots celebrate their culture and create a professionally planned and organized wedding ceremony

Having emigrated from Ghana to the US, I understand how difficult it is for those outside of your culture to understand your traditions and how much you want to embrace and celebrate where you come from.

When I got engaged to my Nigerian fiancé ( now husband), I knew I needed to bring a planner on board who could suggest ideas and help me create a wedding that celebrated the joining of two people from two different countries without feeling like there was total chaos or not a single common thread that tied it all together.

After My Own Wedding, I Realized How Much I Enjoyed The Planning Process, And Then As I Attended More Multicultural Weddings Throughout New Jersey And New York, I Realized Many Multicultural Events Lacked Structure, Guests Arrived much After The event start Time, And Vendors Were Late and uncoordinated.

So, I got certified as a wedding planner from the Longevity Wedding Planning Institute and graduated from the International Wedding and Event Design Institute with a mission to remedy that. I’m also a member of the Association of Bridal Consultants, a Munaluchi 2016 Coterie Member, and have been featured on The Knot NJ.
I’d love to help you. I offer month-of and Partial Planning Services in addition to Floral Styling and Event design. Check out my service pages to learn more and then get in touch with me about your wedding.
