Ensuring Blended and Cultural Couples Are Represented and Supported During Their Engagement and Wedding Planning Process
(because not every wedding involves two people from the same background who celebrate the same way)

If anyone needs a truly personalized wedding ceremony, it’s the cultural bride.
You likely have a lot of ceremonial rites to incorporate that those outside of your culture aren’t familiar with. You may even want to utilize cultural vendors for food or performances, but you’ve heard the stereotypes: that some aren’t reliable or don’t run on time.
I get it.

I read a story once about a man and woman who admittedly fell in love on their first date. Friends had set them up and knew them well. A man who’d never told a woman he loved her before, this guy knew he’d found the one and didn’t waste any time before proposing.

His new bride-to-be was Indian and he came from a traditional Christian background.

Their wedding turned out great, but mixing the two cultures and trying to fuse food, rituals, and music in a way that flowed professionally and looked beautiful took a lot of intentional forethought and planning….to the point that it almost became too stressful.
And then there are the stories about weddings that have beautiful and unique elements, but flow too slowly, serve dinner too late, and lack any sort of structure that makes the event enjoyable.

Whether you come from the same background or you’re an interracial couple, if you’re not having a traditional American wedding and you’re living in America, it can be difficult to find a wedding planner and vendors who understand your needs.
Hi, I’m Ronny Chuks — owner of Utterly Elegant Weddings and certified wedding planner and event designer. I knew there was a gap in the wedding planning industry for cultural couples, and I knew there were couples out there who wanted to celebrate their heritage, but also wanted to have a wedding where everyone showed up on time and the events flowed seamlessly from one to the other. This is one of the reasons I became a wedding planner and created planning packages that meet you where you’re at.

Wouldn’t it be wonderful to have:

A wedding that features all of the elements you want to incorporate from your traditions or cultural rituals, but also runs on time, has a meticulously crafted format, and is true to your unique style and love story?
More time to spend enjoying your engagement and less time stressed over which vendors to hire or trying to connect the dots between your vision and your actual wedding day?
Someone who understands the importance of culture to help you create a fusion of music, food, and entertainment and help you select vetted and reliable vendors who understand your needs and can give you what you’re looking for?

Here are the wedding planning packages I’ve created to help you plan a creative and unique cultural celebration that flows smoothly, on time, and keeps guests enjoying themselves:

Month-of Wedding Planning

For the bride who has devoted a significant amount of time to planning her wedding (or is prepared to), yet still wants someone to bounce ideas off and to help manage the actual wedding day, this package is for you. I’m there to help you on the day-of, yet I get involved a month prior to your wedding to ensure a seamless transition.

The investment starts at $1,950 and includes:

Venue site visit to discuss your wedding plans and to walk through the venue, so that I can adequately coordinate the flow of the day and ensure everything is set up as expected.
Contact and coordination with each vendor to ensure appropriate drop off, setup, and pick up times before your wedding day, so you have peace of mind that will be on time and prepared.
Creation of a detailed wedding day timeline to share with you and all vendors to ensure your wedding day runs seamlessly.
Coordination of the wedding rehearsal, so you can take a deep breath before you step down the aisle.

Partial Wedding Planning

For the bride who wants to do some of the planning on her own (or has done some of the planning on her own), but wants help booking some vendors, negotiating contracts, and finishing up the details, this package is for you.

The investment starts at $2,950 and includes:

Scheduling of vendor appointments for 1-3 vendors and contract review and negotiation to ensure you get what you pay for and can depend on your wedding professionals for your big day.
Complete wedding day management including the coordination of vendor setup and tear down, so you and your family can eat your meal while it’s hot, dance the night away, and focus on enjoying your once-in-a-lifetime experience.
Coordination of the wedding rehearsal, so you can take a deep breath before you step down the aisle.

She genuinely cares about the outcome of your special day and was great to work with. She assists with every detail of the wedding and has plenty of venues and vendors to help you select exactly what you’re looking for. Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, we offer flexible payment arrangements for all our clients.

Absolutely not! You’ll lose the added stress and burden of not having someone professional come alongside and help you, but I never start doing things without your permission or go-ahead. You’ll have complete control with added support.

Yes, you still should hire a planner. A venue coordinator is in charge of your venue and making sure the space is prepared for you and returned in good condition. He or she might refer you to other vendors, but won’t assist you in scheduling them or managing their setup and breakdown on the day of your wedding. A wedding planner looks out for the bride whereas the venue coordinator looks out for the venue.

Event day management requires us to be present for about 10-14 hours depending on the intricacy of the wedding or event.

Should I need to bring on assistants to make sure your day goes off without a hitch or because I’m also doing your event design, I may do that at my discretion, but you can rest assured that I’m equipped to manage the coordination of your wedding day. For floral styling and design, I partner with a very reputable team of professionals to ensure your floral design is set up beautifully

Whether you hire me for month-of or partial wedding planning, I conduct site visits and do a walk through of your venue beforehand to ensure we’re all on the same page. My packages include coordination of your wedding rehearsal with your bridal party, so I do attend and help you manage it.
